Empowering Students, Parents, Staff and Our Community
Culver School District Superintendent
Welcome to the Superintendent’s Office. It is an honor to serve the students, families, staff, and community of Culver School District. We are committed to providing a high-quality education, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment, and preparing every student for success. This page is a place to stay informed about district initiatives, important updates, and messages from the Superintendent. Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to provide the best possible educational experience for every student.
I am honored and excited to lead the Culver School District forward from the superintendent’s office. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Idaho, a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from Concordia University Portland, and an Ed. Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon.
It is important to know that my leadership style, my moral compass, and my character all drive me to serve. My commitment is to learn as many first names as possible, and to show the school staff, students, and the community that I am here to be an active member of the community, not just the school district. I am only able to do this because of the support of my family. I have been able to learn the skills necessary to execute this position because of my family’s support and understanding that the job takes more than the hours in the workday and goes beyond the contract requirements of the position.
I am committed to being an active member of the team and the community; I believe “We is greater than Me,” and I try to model that behavior in all facets of my life. It takes a team committed to picking up the garbage we walk past, picking up a mop or broom if we are in the cafeteria, and frequently asking people, “How can I help you?”
My work experience in and out of education reinforces my belief that workforce training, skills development, and exposure to trades are as pivotal as academic skills, advanced coursework, and pathways to post-secondary institutions. We will continue to focus on providing robust academic and career preparation, so our students are well prepared to succeed during their school years and after graduation.
I operate from a fiscally conservative mindset, and my goal is to keep the district in a sustainable position, so teachers can focus on teaching, students can focus on learning, and the community can focus on support.
I will always be focused on growth, not perfection, and that requires engagement, communication, and transparency. Please, look for me at community and school events, and do not hesitate to reach out to the district office if you are looking to connect with me.
Go Bulldogs!
