Guiding Principles It is our district's responsibility to increase achievement for all students and narrow the achievement gap. ALL students need to be challenged with a broad range of learning opportunities. We need to provide prudent stewardship of district resources to best support student success, district stability, and high quality staff. Operate with high level of integrity and honesty. Our community's input is essential to our progress. Board Goals Instruction & Achievement: Increase our staff capacity to perform at a high level. High quality instruction is integral to student success. Data-informed decision making processes, collaborative practice, and continued systemic professional development are essential to our success as a school district. Graduation: Achieve a 100% graduation rate at Culver High School and reach the States's 40-40-20 goal by the Fall of 2015. Community/Communication: In addition to soliciting opinions on current initiatives from the public socially, designate one activity per month to reach out to the community and gain input and feedback, as well as educate the public, on current district business (academics, achievement, bond, budget, additions/ reductions, college credit, etc.) |
