Message from the
Superintendent
Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year!
We have several exciting things going on in Culver School District this year:
1.
FACILITIES TASK FORCE- We have a Facilities Task Force made up of community members, staff, and students and this group is helping decide what to do about the failing buildings and systems in our district. 6 of our 10 buildings are in need of repairs, upgrading, and/or renovation. This group of dedicated individuals has been working on sharing the state of the district facilities with others, giving input, learning options, and will eventually be coming up with a proposal for a bond. See the attached document for the work from this group in the last couple months. Thanks to these wonderful folks who believe that our Great Schools = Great Families = Great Community!
2.
CONTINUED DRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE-
Our overarching district goal is:
Every student of Culver School District will:
·
Be educated and inspired by a staff of excellence who says "I believe in you".
·
Graduate with success in academics, a community connection, and college credit.
3.
NEW STAFF- We are thrilled to add the following folks to our team:
Tim Fields- High School Principal
Shea Little - HS PE/Health, Assistant Athletic Director, & coach
Marques Hase- Middle School Social Studies and Special Education
Jodi Irvin - 4th grade teacher
Joe Swanson - 4th grade teacher
Please know that I have an open-door/open email policy and I welcome your communication. I am privileged to get to lead the staff & students of Culver School District. I truly believe that Great Schools bring Great Families which in turn supports a Great Community!
Warm Regards,
Stefanie Garber
Superintendent & Elementary Principal
